Wrap up

Back. Home sweet home. It’s actually been two days :) Only now I have the energy to update despite my feeling under the weather. I blame this on the lack of sleep.

So the conference went well. Seventeen speakers with a variety of experience and background. Now I’m trying to figure out how to improve my department’s portal, how to turn it into a more e-citizen centric.

I just realised I need to sliced narrowly and target who my audience are and only then the portal can be designed accordingly. Not gonna be easy but perhaps as a starter a poll will be uselful. I know that an online poll can be very vague, but hey, that is a starter.

It is amazing to see how much the WWW have progressed, more open sourced softwares, free applications are out there which can give threat to the conventional websites.

We should be walking hand in hand with progress, which I know will involve more money and time. What was years of progress can now be seen in just six months or maybe even less.

Facebook, Twitters are just some of these Web 2.0 applications that can be used. But how do we use it?

Anyway I leave you with these pictures taken by my handphone. Haha!!!

Will be off to my nephew’s two years old birthday party in a jiffy.

Have a good weekend.

conference2There were more than 30 of us that took part in the conference.
