My first attempt, here's my version of Mee Mamak

With so many things happening at one time, cooking is a form of escapism for me. I have always loved cooking but hardly or perhaps just too lazy to find time to cook.

Since the fasting month, I’ve been cooking some dishes but didnt take any pictures. But this time, since Mee Mamak is a new dish for me to cook, here I am to share the result.

Alhamdulillah…it was a good attempt.

I’ve copied the recipe from here, but changed some according to my own preference.

Ingredients;

The sauce : Chilli, Shallot, Garlic, Dried Shrimps – blend all of these, fry and add seasoning. If you like it spicy, just add more chilli. Put aside.

The rest of the ingredients;

1. Shredded cabbage

2. Slices of beef or chicken – fry or boil.

3. Sawi

4. Chilli and Tomato sauce

5. Oyster sauce

6. Potato – boiled, cut into medium cubes.

7. Light and dark soya sauce

8. Tai Thong noodles – boil and put aside

9. Tomato – cut into medium cubes.

Methods;

1. Fry the  initial sauce with oyster sauce, chilli and tomato sauce, light and dark soya sauce.

2. Add in beef/chicken, , shredded cabbage, sawi and tomato cubes.

3. Add seasoning.

4. Add the noodles and potato.

It is not a complicated recipe and I had fun cooking. So go and try. Good luck! :)

From single to being married, this blog is a journal of a random person. Still trying to find her inner self and hopefully one day, this blog will benefit others too. All aside, I am trying to find a medium to express myself to the mass community and at the same time, trying hard to be anonymous.
