My Tua (dad’s oldest sister) held a tahlil and also menyungkaikan (breaking the fast) yesterday, so I whipped up Peanut Butter Bread Pudding as part of my contribution for the meal.

It was honestly fun as it was also the first time to bake such recipe.

The Peanut Butter had a distinct taste to it

Here is the recipe if you wish to make one. Dont forget to tell me how it went.

Ingredients;

Portion 1

3 cups of milk (I used low fat milk)

4 eggs

3 teaspoons of vanilla essence

7 pieces of shredded bread (equivalent to about 6 ounce)

Portion 2

1 cup of milk

1 cup of brown sugar

1/3 granulated white sugar (using the same measurement cup as the brown sugar and milk)

1 cup of peanut butter

Additional ingredient – Chocolate chips or chocolate rice, Chocolate Syrup

Method;

Blend Portion 1 until soft and light. Pour Portion 1 onto the bread. Put aside.

Mix all of Portion 2 and melt using low heat. Mix until the Portion has hardened slightly.

Blend Portion 1 and Portion 2 until it becomes soft and smooth. If you’d like to, you can sprinkle the Chocolate chips or chocolate rice at the top.

Bake for about 55 minutes.

Once baked and ready to serve, splash the chocolate syrup over the pudding.

And that’s it :)

So good luck! :)
